November Newsletter

The Obstacle Circuit November Newsletter

Winter is coming quick and that means changes ahead for us at The Obstacle Circuit. The 2019 OCR season is mostly over, but that doesn’t mean we have to stop training. There are more obstacle course races and mud runs in 2020! And the Ninja Warriors competition season is just getting started with the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association season and local competitions coming up over the next few months!

WINTER IS COMING

With cold weather coming and limited daylight you can expect changes will be made. Due to the fact we are primarily an outdoor training program we will have to adjust. Most of our adult and kids classes will go on break for the time being until we find another way to run them safely and staying true to the goal of our classes

THE OBSTACLE CIRCUIT ADULT CLASSES

The adult classes going into November will be limited to just the Saturday 8:30AM class. It is getting too dark during the Tuesday 6PM and Thursday 5:30AM to maintain the quality and safety in class. If another time becomes feasible during the week we will add more class times. We are planning to do some After Dark special classes which will require headlamps and special events during the winter months so don’t expect things to slow down too much. We still need to be prepared for cold race conditions making this an optimal time for race prep.

RICOCHET NINJA KIDS CLASSES

The Ricochet Ninja kids classes will continue until it starts getting too cold to continue. I (Coach Daniel) am watching the weather closely and classes will be charged week to week instead of monthly to prevent overcharging. Some classes will need to be adjusted due to the time change. I will be communicating with parents directly to make sure everyone knows what is going on.

If it looks like it’s going to be a cold day (low 40s or high winds) I will cancel class and inform everyone. If at any point prior to a class I do not canceled class then you as a parent can make the call yourself. It is completely understandable and I want everyone to be safe and feel safe about having their children in class.

Things will slowdown into the winter a little and that’s to be expected, but their are big plans in the works and guaranteed once we are able to start bringing classes back we’ll build it back up even better.
